Sperry Top-Sider
Back in the 1930s, Paul Sperry was sailing his boat on the Long Island Sound, slipped on the deck and fell overboard. The unfortunate fall was the birth of a mission; to create non-slip shoes for sailing. After years of testing sipping sole designs, Sperry settled on a herringbone pattern as the most effective, fixing them to simple leather uppers. In 1937, Sperry patented his non-skid sole, partnered with a rubber company, and created a manufacturing facility to develop his non-skid designs. Today, Sperry Top-Sider shoes are some of the most timeless ocean-ready footwear there is. Whether you’re searching for a pair of waterproof men’s boots or wanting a casual pair of women’s sandals, this classic brand now has a vast selection of flats, loafers, and outdoor footwear to choose from. You'll never go wrong with a pair of Sperry’s iconic leather boat shoes.
