Frequently Asked Questions
Can you ski in snowboard gear?
Absolutely, you can ski in snowboard gear. The main difference between the two is that ski gear is often made to be more aerodynamic and snowboard gear doesn’t typically take this into consideration. That said, you choose what you like for the experience you want.
Are ski and snowboard clothes different?
To a degree, yes, ski and snowboard clothes are different. Most skiers typically opt-in for tighter and form-fitting clothes to accommodate speed. Snowboard clothes often fit a bit bigger to make space for layering (and they look cool!). Take snowboard jackets as an example: they’re typically longer and looser, whereas ski jackets tend to be shorter and snug. But, you choose what’s right for your ride.
Is snowboarding equipment cheaper than skiing?
Yes, and no. Snowboarding and skiing, for the most part, consume the same amount of money. The difference in cost comes down to what you’re looking for in regards to quality and the mark of the equipment. It should also be considered that skiing requires slightly more gear than snowboarding and that’s going to bring the cost up a bit.
